Some people get locked into one area, perhaps that makes them experts on a certain subject. My guest this week does not fit that mold. She explores pretty much anything that seems unknown or paranormal. Jen is a lot like me, I have a great desire to seek answers for all of the unknowns… yet I haven’t taken the time (and probably won’t) to focus on just one subject. It seems to me that even open minded people get locked on one area involving the paranormal and lose sight (or interest) in other unexplained phenomena.

What is it about the Pyramids of Egypt, were they really built by the Egyptians. Doesn’t it seem like a more advanced race may have designed them? Why are there so many pyramids all over the earth in just about every culture? Was it just a common design or is there a greater hidden truth behind their unique structure? Did you know there may be pyramids in Michigan, even in Upper Michigan?

Jen also discusses a white bigfoot she saw last winter, and unlike those fellows in Georgia, doesn’t have any evidence other than her own eye witness account to support her story. No hype, no seeking out the press, no money exchanging hands. I called her, not the other way around. So judge as you may on the phonies, some of us are just trying to relay the truth as we have experienced it…

Jen belongs to group that shares and investigates the unknown. I find there are many groups that exist. What I do like about Jen is that she is very open and respectfull of others beleifs. You can check out her website: michiganwildernessparanormalclub.com

I would only recommend it to those of you with really open minds.

Both of these interviews were taken off of the radio. Both occured within the last couple years. Sorry they are not fresh, but due to modern science they are loaded with preservatives so they are definitely not stale! Maryanne Brown is a ghosthunter out of Marquette, Michigan and shares some of her experiences. More and more people seem to be drawn to this, why is that?

Also part 2 is an interview with Kerrie Schiel. Kerrie talks about basketball sized orbs which she has seen in the woods. I’ve only heard about these types of orbs more recently. I’m not really impressed with the smaller ones because they could be anything…but these are different. Hmm…what could they be?

Added comment 8/19/08. This is not part of the interview nor will it probably be in future podcasts. “Bigfoot found in Georgia.” I never get too worked up when I hear about these things in the news. They never pan out, and why is that? Some would say “because they don’t exist.” Others who’ve seen and witnessed these things know differently. I just think there are those who don’t want us to know. If that statement is in any way true then the next question is, why? Maybe we’re not ready. Maybe it would shake the scientific world and their delicate egos. Maybe there are other answers?

Many of you have witnessed events and are afraid to speak of them. We all have the fear of ridicule or rejection. It takes some courage to step forward to speak your truth. I give my guest credit this week for taking that step. Why is it so important? Perhaps the answer is two fold. One, it may open the door for someone else to speak their truth. (how many times in history has one person spoke up and others started to do the same) Two, if there is a greater truth that exists out there, don’t you think that someone wants us to know about it? I believe my guest this week has the ability to sense and see things and I am gratefull that she is willing to share.

This week I talk to the Angel Lady, but I just don’t want you to think of her as the angel lady. Her Name is Debbie Bergeon, actually…reverand Debbie Bergeon. This week you’ll get some insight on one of my previous guests. Plus, and I don’t know how to explain it, with some folks you just have a connection. Some believe that may in part be due to time spent together in a previous lifetime. Debbie and I kind of toss that around, she seems to believe that I was her brother at one time. I feel that could be. So why is it that some believe in that and some don’t? And how does it fit into the bigger picture? Furthmore, what are we here to accomplish? Are we here by accident, or is it part of a greater plan? And if so, why? Ugh…I know, too many questions! Debbie shares some of her insight on these questions and we talk about some recent events in which she used angel assistance.

I’ll be honest, there was a time when talking about this stuff would have creeped me out, but not anymore. Angels, reincarnation, ghosts, whatever! What changed? I can only say the truth will set you free, and by that I mean you no longer fear the unknown when you feel like you have found some truth. Perhaps the truth is different for all of us? I’ve always wanted to do a show that would tie all of these things together, because I feel that they are all connected. Perhaps it is best for you to figure it out for yourself?

A few weeks back Lisa Schiel (yes, ugh, the bigfoot lady) invited me to a gathering at a place called Lakenenland. Lakenenland is about 9 miles east of Harvey on highway M28 in Upper Michigan. Tom Lakenen is the owner of the property and the unique park is free to the public. If you want to see something unusual then I suggest you check out his artwork. The first segment this week is a brief interview with Lisa, Tom and then a gal named Jen from lower Michigan. Jen describes seeing a bigfoot last winter and it was all white. After talking to her it made me wonder if they change color with the seasons to blend in. I guess I’ll have to chat with Lisa about that in the future.

Also a few years ago I talked to a somewhat troubled woman in Houston Texas who was having some difficulties with ghosts and even what I would call poltergeists. Melissa Poskey and her husband Lee live in a house to this day that is (according to her) haunted. The poltergeist activity has seemed to cease after more than one attempt to cleanse it. Imagine something pinning you down so you couldn’t move and the more angry you got the more it controlled you. I know I have seen ghosts and had strange things happen, but nothing like what Mel and her family have experienced. By the way, originally when I called Mel she was a bit leary to tell her story but after I gained her confidence she opened up. Thank you Melissa.

Now fast forward several years later. Somewhere around the turn of this decade. I met a guy who I like to play golf with from time to time. Not so much for the sport, because I suck pretty bad and he’s pretty good, but for the friendship. I like Dan because he strikes me as geniune and down to earth. Somehow, (and I don’t know quite how) we got on the subject of ouija boards and it turns out Dan’s mom used to mess with them all of the time. When he was younger he thought it was a normal thing. Funny how what you grow up with determines (at least for a while) what you consider normal. After some emailing back and forth Dan and his son Brandon decided to come on the show. Thank you to both of them for sharing their stories. Dan talks about ouiga boards, and ufos. Brandon shares a fairly recent chilling ghost story. Just two regular guys sharing their stories…not seeking attention in any way.

How do I feel about ouija boards now? I just see them as a way to communicate with others who have passed. Sometimes you get good ones…and if you’re not sure of what you’re doing…sometimes you get very negative beings. Are they more powerfull than good ones? How can they be? Isn’t good (highest unconditional love) stronger than anything? Doesn’t love conquer all? If that is the case, what is there to fear? Now, would I recommend someone messing around with a ouija if they don’t know what they doing? No, I think like anything it would’nt hurt to gain some knowledge before using it.

My guest this week is a man by the name of Michael Maurino. Michael works out of Florida for a company called Pitch. Michael’s job is to contact radio stations and try to promote his clients. Go figure that we would eventually get around to discussing other topics besides his clients. But that is what I do, people call me for something and I wind up asking them questions. It probably drives them nuts. Michael was willing to chat and because of his background in radio, perhaps it was a chance to reconnect with that. (in this case a podcast)

In this interview, Michael describes some coincidences that some might say could be an answer to his prayers. I’ve always wondered why some prayers are answered and some aren’t. Now why is that? And why is it that we need to believe in order for the prayer to work? What difference does it make? Perhaps there is a formula to making them more effective…hmm…Could it be similar to that movie “The Secret?”

Just so you are not thrown for a suprise, I only did two segments with Michael, the last segment is me talking about reincarnation.

Some of you may believe in the use of natural products. There are so many. My guest this week, Willie Jean Carrington, grew up in Louisana and their family survived illness by using many home remedies. Many in the south live in poverty and they had to use simple means to maintain their health. We always hear that years ago people weren’t as healthy, I think just the opposite is true. Is there a way to recover from almost any type of disease? Perhaps we have forgotten some of the simpler things that can help us. I have heard many remarkable stories about amazing healings, more will be shared at a later date.

Some questions to ponder: Whoever put us here must have given us the knowledge on how to cure ourselves, right? Wouldn’t those cures be found in nature? Why does the body get sick to begin with… isn’t dis-ease (many times not always) just caused by our body being out of balance? Is it possible to avoid a lot of disease just by changing our attitude?

A couple of years ago I met a woman who believed she beat her cancer by taking a natural product, she feels it saved her life. She had run out of options with modern medicine. She also told me she had to change her attitude, because that too was affecting her health. She told me she actually removed all of those people in her life that were creating a negative energy around her. Pehaps she will be on the show eventually if she feels comfortable enough to speak about something that truly is a personal and private issue.

What makes a person a credible witness to an event? I think if you look at a persons background you will discover quite a bit about them. My friend Ron has a background in the military and while he has shared some of his close encounters while he was in the military, those will not be included in this broadcast. He cannot and will not reflect on those experiences, nor would I expect him to. He did have a couple of civilian experiences which he shares with me in this interview. What makes him unique? His eye for detail and the fact that he was not the only one who saw these unknown crafts. I always ask myself, why would a current or former military person stick their neck out on the line like that? This isn’t a case of seeing just one craft that could have been something. This is an eyewitness account at close range about seeing several craft.

Again this is no biggie to me, many in my family have seen things close up, including myself. Many of my co-workers have seen them too. Many friends, the list goes on . . .

A couple of weeks ago a woman called me at the radio station with a lost cat and I told her we could make a couple of announcements on the radio. She was really upset since the cat belonged to her daughter, and it turns out the daughter was returning home for the first time in a couple of years. Imagine having to tell your son or daughter that. “Oh I can’t wait to see Hairball, how’s he doing?” “Uh…well…he’s around…somewhere!”

I told this gal to call Debbie Bergeon, who you may recall was on in an earlier episode talking about working with angels. Debbie told her what to do and sure enough the cat returned home and just in time for the daughters visit. Coincidence? Certainly could be, but on the other hand it is also believable that what Debbie told this woman was accurate. Regardless of where you stand on this, it was at least nice to hear a happy ending! In return, I gained someones trust. That trust led to other family stories concerning angel involvement. Thank you Debbie S. for opening up to me.

<itunes:summary>No guest this week, but I share some stories from when I was a kid. I had this one event happen to me at least a dozen times and at the time it scared the crud out of me. Now I see it in a different light. Also my brother had a couple of bizarre things happen to him as well, and I also share two unusual stories that I have heard in the last few years. I consider myself very open minded but these two stories seemed a bit "out there" even for me. However, I do trust the sources. See for yourself...

This week I talk to Melissa Lafave, who I’ve known for quite some time. Some people you just have a connection with, Melissa is one of those people. Melissa shares her miracle story about her son Zander. Imagine finding out that your son had a major heart problem and was going to need surgery at a very young age, what would you do? Then you notice something unusual happening, what does it mean? Zander’s story plays out through the words of Melissa and I think you will find this story inspiring!

Also on the show is the site’s creator and good friend Waye Braver. While we are good friends, we’re polar opposites when it comes to the paranormal. Waye is a skeptic, he keeps me grounded, actually balanced is probably more accurate. What I enjoy about talking to Waye is the fact that I can razz him a bit, and that he brings a totally different view than most of my guests. Perhaps he represents the skeptic in some of you who listen to these podcasts. Again, like all my guests, Waye is down to earth, genuine, and can laugh at himself.

When I was a young buck going to broadcasting school in Wausau, Wisconsin I had something unusaul happen to me. I was on my way to work at a grocery store on the other side of town and it had been snowing a bit. As usual I was cutting it close on time so I was in a bit of a hurry. I came to the top of this hill and at the bottom of the hill, maybe some 50 to 70 yards away, was a traffic light. It was red. There was a station wagon parked at the light. I touched my brakes and started to slide. There were two lanes and I was in the left lane. To my right was a snow grader, so cutting over into that lane was not an option. I only had a few seconds to decide what I was going to do. Then, in a moment of clarity, it all became quite clear what to do. Speed up, get past the grader, cut the wheel at the last second to avoid the wagon, and then slide over into the right hand lane. What? You’re kidding right? But that is exactly what I did and I just missed the wagon by about an inch and came to almost a perfect stop in the right lane. How did that happen? There is no way the I should have avoided an accident, or at least plowed through the intersection. At the time I didn’t think much of it, but since many other similar incidents have occured it has made see things in a different light. I know I got an “assist” from someone or something that day. Was it a guardian angel? Was it a family member who passed? Over the years I have met some people who have claimed to work with angels. Like many of you, at one time, I might have thought that these folks were exposed to a little too much paint thinner. However over time when you talk with people and get to know them and witness events for yourself you start to see that most of them are just like anyone else. My guest this week is Debbie Bergeon, she describes how she got involved with angel work and what has led her where she is now. What do you think about this topic?

When I was a kid I looked out my bedroom window one night and saw a craft on the horizon that I could not identify. Years later my wife saw something dancing in the sky that no known craft could do. Even my son saw something when he was a boy the seemed to split into two just over his head. The list goes on. Do all people experience something beyond our beliefs at somepoint in their life? Is it just a certain few? Do many more people see things and just try to ignore or dismiss the experience? I don’t know the answer for sure on those questions, but I do believe that all experiences are trying to teach or tell us something. In this segment I talk to Mark and Jen, both of them strike me as humble and honest. Their experiences are more involved than most. Again, they did not seek me out… I sought them out. They are not seeking financial gain or attention. Judge for yourself.

Welcome to Outthere! My name is Tj Ryan. I am a radio dj by trade, my morning show does not lend the opportunity to discuss the paranormal as much as I would like. This is why I created Outthere, a place for me to share my experiences along with others. Some of my guests on my podcasts may be recognizable, most are just regular folks. Have you ever had something bizarre happen to you? Did you dismiss it at the time and now you are at a point in your life when you wonder if there was more to your experience? I have found that by talking to others there are many who have experienced similar unexplained events in their lives as well. This goal of this site is to inform, investigate, share stories and mostly have fun while doing so. My belief is that nothing in life is really that big of a deal, we’re all going to pass eventually someday . . . however we may be able to uncover a few secrets along the way! Perhaps there is a greater truth just waiting to be explored. Perhaps part of the journey is to make “The Unknown, Known!”
